Rooms

All St Ann’s rooms have their own high-speed Internet connection and phone with voice-mail capabilities. Family and friends can call student rooms using a direct line. Internal phone calls are also available free of charge.

There are shared bathrooms on each corridor. However, rooms in the Dame Roma Mitchell building, the Barnes building and the Ann Wood Wing include ensuite bathrooms and individual climate control. It is the College's vision to upgrade all rooms to the same standard as those in the above mentioned corridors.

All student rooms have storage space, a wardrobe and a desk large enough to fit a computer. Large pin boards are also provided to hang College notices or personal information.

Student rooms are cleaned weekly and garbage taken out daily (excluding weekends) by our cleaning staff.

Kitchens

There is one main kitchen which provides three meals per day including the weekends when a continental breakfast is also provided. Every Monday night all students are required to attend formal dinner by candlelight. Guest speakers occasionally attend this. Late and early meals are also provided for students who are unable to be present during meal times. All students are also permitted to use the milkshake maker, coffee machine and drink dispenser until 10:00pm each night.

Every corridor is also equipped with its own kitchen which includes a fridge, sink, microwave oven and stove. They are available 24 hours a day and anyone can store personal food supplies in them for late night snacks. Most also have cutlery and plates available.

Laundries

There are 3 laundries within the College which all students have immediate access to. Each laundry has several washing machines, dryers, ironing boards and large sinks. The washing machines and dryers are coin operated. Indoor and outdoor clotheslines are also provided, however pegs and washing powder are not.

Parking

Secure car parking is available within the St Ann’s compounds for approximately 40 students.  If you need one of these parks you must request an application form.

There are also several places where push bikes can be kept locked.

Rose Garden

There is a rose garden that students are welcome to use for study and/or recreation. Social events are also organised from time to time for students and guests of the College.

The garden is maintained by a permanent half-time gardener instead of contracted out like many other places.

Other

The College also provides food and drink vending machines as well as condom machines. There is also a photographic room and drafting equipment for architecture and engineering students.
