Student Involvement

College Club

The College Club is an incorporated body made up of democratically elected student leaders. It consists of ten members whose responsibility is to organise numerous social and sporting events, as well as provide various facilities around College.

The events and facilities made available by College Club are possible due to the College Club Fees paid by students at the beginning of each year. Some of the social functions that College Club Fees help to provide include the Open Show, St. Ann's Ball, Valedictory Dinner and numerous other events such as O-Week.

College Club also provides services such as the video room, condom and tampon machines, washing machines, irons and dryers, various sporting equipment and board games for student use. This money also goes towards purchasing State and national newspapers for student use. College club also provides kettles and toasters with bread, margarine and milk for late-night snacks. College Club have also made some special purchases including a sewing machine, video camera and digital-still camera that can be used by students.

Serving on College Club is an excellent opportunity for students to experience a leadership position within the community, as well as a fantastic teamwork environment.

The Collegians Association

The main aims of the collegians are to foster unity between members of the College and collegians, and to aid the wellbeing of the College and its members. Through various fundraising activities, they provide scholarships and prizes for students at the college, as well as making occasional gifts to the college itself.

Membership of the Collegians presents great opportunities to attend functions and renew friendships and associations with people that you have met through College. Life membership costs only $50 and entitles you to receive a free copy of the "187" Newsletter that is published four times a year.

Membership of the Collegians Association is available to any former resident of St Ann's College. To register your e-mail address, change of address or to send in any news please contact the President of the Collegians Association.
